At this workshop, visitors learn how to spread transparent hot glue on a plastic disc to make a diffractive medium. They then attach the disc to a pencil which acts like an axle; when you spin the disc and shine a laser pointer through it, you get a lumia pattern, just like the main Soleri, So Laser display.
